Spot Forecasting in DeFi
Spot is a term used in trading that refers to an asset as is at current market price. Spot differs from something like futures where contracts for future prices are traded, or options where the choice to buy or sell at a certain price in the future are traded. In DeFi the most immediate example of spot trading is the exchange of one token or coin for another described as a pair, for example ETH/USDT is the pair of ETH and USDT and the spot price is the exchange rate of first asset in terms of the second.

Volatility Forecasting in DeFi
Though perhaps not discussed as often as price prediction, understanding volatility of asset prices is fundamental to sophisticated DeFi and will only become more crucial as DeFi continues to mature. Models that specifically provide predictive forecasts and quantitative measures of asset volatility can be useful for mean-variance portfolio optimization, risk analysis, options and derivatives pricing, and more. In the realm of DeFi, volatility forecasts can be similarly applied to unique use-cases including AMM fee mechanisms, lending pool parameter optimization, optimized liquidity provisioning, yield farming strategies…etc.

Real Verticals of Applied AI in Web3
The emergence of Web3 signifies a transformative shift toward a decentralized internet that prioritizes user sovereignty, credible neutrality, and permissionless compute. However, decentralized blockchain applications are still primitive compared to their feature-rich TradFi and Web2 counterparts, primarily due to compute limitations as well as lack of tooling for advanced dApp development. This can be highlighted by the fact that expressive forms of compute leveraging powerful AI/ML-driven workflows are ubiquitous in traditional software applications whereas the integration of such technologies in crypto apps is a relatively underexplored design space. As the crypto ecosystem grows and evolves, integrating AI/ML is increasingly becoming more important in order for these applications to enhance features, functionality, and user experience to ultimately reach parity with Web2 applications.

OpenGradient and EigenLayer Power Secure AI Inference on Blockchain
As decentralized AI continues to gain awareness, it faces a number of critical challenges—scalability, hardware access, and verifiability—that slow its adoption and limit its potential. The lack of accessible GPU-equipped hardware, coupled with challenges in running AI models directly on-chain, has forced reliance on dominant operators, raising concerns over trust and security in high-impact applications. OpenGradient spearheads solutions to overcome these obstacles head-on, building an innovative infrastructure and leveraging EigenLayer’s restaking capabilities to create a scalable, decentralized solution for AI inference. This unique approach paves the way for secure, cost-effective AI in a decentralized ecosystem, transforming the current and future of AI/Web3 development.

Mitigating Risk and Loss in AMM Liquidity Pools: A Dynamic Fee System Based on Risk Prediction
High quality liquidity provision is an essential component to a well-functioning market. Reward for being a Liquidity Provider (LP) must be sufficient to attract holders (or potential holders) of an asset as LPs so that those demanding liquidity (Takers) are able to do so quickly and efficiently. In DeFi a common mechanism for liquidity provision is automated market making (AMM), and more specifically constant function market making (CFMM). When accessing liquidity in a CFMM pool, takers pay a fee (taker fee) for their transaction, typically a percent of the asset given by the taker. The taker fee may take many forms, most often it is a fixed percent for a pool, as found in Uniswap v3, but may also be variable.
